Hard to believe that we are only a few short weeks into winter with all of the plan shuffling that the weather has been causing. If the last several weeks are any indication of the amount of contingency planning that will be required this winter, we will be kept extraordinarily busy! The Philadelphia area looks to be spared this week, but our neighbors to the south are being slammed with what is being called a "once-in-a-generation" snow and ice storm starting today.
Emergency Plans
Ahhhh, back home to Philadelphia! After almost an entire month on the road, I am so glad to be home and grounded, at least for a little while. My May travels took me to Miami Beach, Spain, San Diego, and Myrtle Beach and I can’t wait to tell you all about my experiences, but that will have to wait until another day!
The last few weeks in Philadelphia have brought Hurricane Sandy, an early season nor'easter, and 3,000 new Philadelphia Marathon runners who were displaced from the New York City Marathon. All of this means that the last few weeks at Perfection Events have been spent on executing on our contigency plans.
The late season Hurricane Sandy could impact the mid-Atlantic area next week, and that has us dusting off emergency and contingency plans to prepare for the possible impact on client events.
